Midwest Orthopaedic Consultants has an immediate need for a Physician Assistant to our Sports Medicine Team. This position is 100% clinical (non surgical). This is a full time position with benefits.

As a PA in our Sports Medicine clinic, you spend your time in direct patient care at our Oak Lawn and Orland Park Ortho Care outpatient clinics. As an advanced provider you will set up treatment plans, perform initial evaluations and treatment plans and make referrals for consultations, provide prescriptions within the scope of the supervising physician's written delegated authority.

You also provide pre- and post-operative patient education to patients and their families. You respond to telephone inquiries from patients and make appropriate recommendations. You communicate with referring or primary care physicians regarding patient care and treatment. Additionally, you provide follow up and health maintenance care including the appropriate adjustment of medications in response to specific instructions from the Attending Physician.QUALIFICATIONS
* Licensed as a Physician Assistant in the State of Illinois

* Federal DEA and Illinois Mid-level Practitioner Controlled Substance License

* Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Certification

* Completion of an accredited physician assistant program by the Accreditation Review Commission on Education for the Physician Assistant (ARC-PA)

* Certification by NCCPA

* Experience reading X-rays

* Ability to be on your feet for extended periods of time and occasionally lift up to 50 pounds

* Ability to travel between our Oak Lawn and Orland Park locationsWORK SCHEDULE
The PA will work a 5 day clinical schedule
