Midwest Filtration Company is Hiring a Sourcing Specialist Near West Chester, OH

The Sourcing Manager plays a crucial role in maintaining the organization's competitive advantage through effective procurement sourcing processes, and tactical implementation. The Sourcing Manager is responsible for identifying global sources of Nonwovens with a focus on the development of procurement strategies.This role develops, coordinates, and implements procurement programs that focus on value creation through key value drivers: cost, compliance, complexity and consumption, that support the other business stakeholders. This role will work alongside the Director of Procurement to build strong supplier relationships.

Job Requirements:

  • Responsible for developing strategic sourcing processes including spend analysis, supply market analysis, negotiations, sourcing strategies, and supplier relationship management.
  • Implement and refine sourcing strategies through strong technical/functional knowledge, in support of the business’ short-term and long-term plans
  • Maintain the material library through the whole material lifecycle (introduction, maintenance, change, phase-out)
  • Supplier evaluation and selection, strategic supplier management (audits, performance reviews, negotiations)
  • Analyze market trends, benchmarking, and financial data to identify opportunities for cost savings and efficiency.
  • Works with suppliers and internal team members to qualify new parts.
  • Assists in evaluating and driving the qualification process of new suppliers.
  • Initiate opportunities for use of existing or related new products to expand the business into new areas.
  • Build and strengthen strategic relationships: successfully partner across functions internally and external suppliers to drive results and influence change
  • Proactively identify and mitigate supply chain risks, including geopolitical, economic, and operational factors.
  • Works cross-functionally with key business unit stakeholders to drive and execute sourcing strategies based on business requirements and market conditions.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address supplier performance, quality, and continuous improvement.
  • Drive cost reduction initiatives through effective negotiation, supplier collaboration, and process improvements.
  • Responsible for coordinating with operations, sales, finance, and quality to complete projects and achieve goals within project timeline.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Possesses a Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) and 5-8 years of progressive procurement experience in global procurement/supply chain role in a manufacturing environment.
  • 5 years experience in Nonwovens
  • Strong negotiation, communication, and relationship-building skills.
  • In-depth knowledge of procurement best practices, market trends, and emerging technologies.
  • Ability to analyze large data sets from various sources
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and senior management.
  • Demonstrated business and financial acumen.
  • Willingness to travel domestically and internationally by up to 25% to develop, promote, and maintain strategic sourcing relationships.

  • Must have strong written and verbal communication skills, demonstrated effective leadership and influencing skills and practices
  • Ability and willingness to understand and interact with diverse groups and cultures
  • Evidence of skills & attributes including effective listening, gathering complete information, ensuring accuracy, problem-solving, negotiating, researching discrepancies, and handling conflict are critical.
  • The ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously, meet compressed deadlines, and handle frequent interruptions is essential.
  • Ability and willingness to respond quickly and appropriately in a dynamic, fast paced work environment and the flexibility to withstand challenging situations
