Midwest Filtration LLC is searching for a Purchasing Specialist. The right individual must have a proven experience in purchasing, procurement, or a similar role. Strong negotiation and communication skills. Midwest Filtration LLC provides an extensive inventory with a complete range of woven and non-woven filtration materials that can be custom designed to accommodate our customer’s needs.
Scope of Position:
The Purchasing Specialist assists the procurement department in acquiring goods and services essential for the organization's daily operations. This full time role involves coordinating with suppliers, source reliable service providers , monitoring inventory levels, and ensuring timely and cost-effective procurement of materials. The Purchasing Specialist also helps maintain accurate records and reports related to procurement activities.

Responsibility:
Vendor Management:
· Identify potential suppliers, request quotes, and negotiate terms and pricing.
· Establish and maintain relationships with suppliers to ensure reliable and timely deliveries.
· Evaluate supplier performance and resolve any issues or discrepancies.
· Source new suppliers for existing material needs and identify potential suppliers for new requirements.
· Continuously evaluate and improve the supplier base for enhanced quality, cost, and delivery.
Order Processing:
· Create and process purchase orders and requisitions, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies.
· Create and maintain part number revisions, status, and accuracy.
· Track orders and shipments, including international, to ensure on-time delivery.
· Communicate with internal stakeholders to understand their procurement needs and requirements.
Inventory Management:
Documentation and Reporting:
· Maintain accurate procurement records, including purchase orders, invoices, and receipts.
· Prepare regular reports on procurement activities, vendor performance, and inventory levels.
· Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and internal policies.
Quality Assurance:
· Collaborate with quality control and assurance teams to ensure the quality of purchased goods and services.
· Handle product or service quality issues and work with suppliers to resolve them.
· Complying with company policies, procedures, and regulatory standards.·
Physical Requirements
Qualifications/Competency
· Associate’s or Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field
preferred.
· Working knowledge of ERP/MRP systems.
· Advanced skills in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
