Midwest Eye Care is looking for a REGISTERED NURSE at our Surgery Center located at 4353 Dodge Street

Full-time, 40 hours per week or part-time, 20-30 hours per week

Monday – Thursday (6am – 4pm) NO WEEKENDS/HOLIDAYS or On Call

In this role YOU will:

· Be responsible for the delivery of safe, effective and quality patient care.

· May work in pre & post op and/or Operating Room.

· Maintains awareness of comfort and safety needs of patient; responds to emergency situations based upon nursing standards, policies, procedures and protocol.

· Communicate with other surgery center staff, anesthesia care provider and the surgeon to coordinate a safe and comfortable surgical experience. Participates in patient education.

· Responsible for ensuring that the patient understands their post-operative care requirements.

· Observing patient, recording significant incidents; takes temperature, pulse, blood pressure and other vital signs to detect deviations from normal and assess condition of patient.

· Graduate of an accredited registered nursing program from college or technical school.

· RN with active license in NE or a multi-state compact RN license.

· Ability to obtain ACLS certification within 90 days of hire.

Offered Candidates will need to do the following before first day:

· Successfully complete a background check which includes an education verification, and a license verification.

· Successfully complete drug, alcohol and nicotine testing.
