Midwest Erectors and Construction is hiring for the role of Steel Fabrication Shop Foreman. The ideal candidate shall possess a strong ability to visualize various shop operations and identify potential problems that could shift the schedule of production. Safety and Quality will always remain our top two priorities within the operation of the company, thus the individual who is to fill this role have a dedicated passion for integrating this into their personal framework Productivity and Delivery are the next focus and a strong knowledge of shop procedures, schedules, and communication will be key skills required to carry out the functions of this role.

Pay & Benefits:

Hiring Bonus: $2,000.00
Salaried position. Based on experience.
Salary ranges from $45,000 to $75,000.
Year-round work.

Paid vacation. (after 1 year)
Paid holidays. (after 90 days)

Hiring Requirements:

Must be able to read and interpret blueprints.
Must proficiently be able to read a tape measure.
Have a strong understanding of welding and how to manage it as a resource.
Must have an eye for detail and carry out regularly scheduled quality audits audits.
Develop new ideas and ways to implement projects that focus on continuous improvement.
Must be highly skilled in math (Algebra and Geometry)
Manage a team of workers, including work schedules, project progress, and resource allocation.
Not required, but helpful in creating cost estimates for labor, supplies, materials, and other project costs.
Collaborate with clients, project managers, and other construction managers to determine budget and timeline.
Coordinate materials and equipment delivery with vendors and suppliers.
Create schedules for workers and subcontractors.
Hire additional subcontractors and assign work accordingly.
Maintain a daily log for the job site’s operations, reporting to management as necessary.
Make changes in the operations as necessary to best meet construction deadlines.
Implement management techniques that are cost-effective and efficient.
Must be highly communicative with both internal and external communication.
Perform and pass a drug test and physical.
Undergo a background check.

Additional Responsibilities (may include, but are not limited to):

Work in, at, or on construction projects, metal building construction, sheet metal, steel erection, equipment operation, new construction, repairs, remodels, and additions.
