Your role as a Medical Biller will allow you to serve the community, simplify healthcare, and help to provide creative solutions to ensure a world class experience. You will be responsible for ongoing tasks related to the processing of all patient claims. The Medical Biller role offers plenty of opportunity to grow your skills and expand your knowledge in healthcare!

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Responsible for timely medical billing, managing, monitoring, researching and processing patient accounts for all visits.
• Investigates and corrects errors in medical billing accounts to ensure records are accurate; as well as identified complex problem accounts and determines necessary action to resolve them in a timely manner
• Maintains knowledge of payer program requirements and contracts
• Obtains insurance eligibility to ensure adequate coverage
• Examines insurance claims, completes or ensures necessary completion of required information and submits to appropriate insurance company
• Processes correspondence relating to insurance information or questions
• Performs necessary follow-up to resolve rejected claims, resubmissions and other insurance inquiries
• Assists as needed in processing insurance payments so that all accounts are up to date and accurate
• Responds promptly and accurately to patient inquiries or complaints
• Filing of claims for Midwest ENT Specialists either electronically or manually to facilitate timely reimbursement
• Other duties as assigned

Requirements

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

• High School Diploma or GED
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Previous experience in customer service
• Experience with Microsoft Office 365
• Valid driver’s license

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Previous experience managing medical claims
• Previous experience in a medical office
