Job Description
Job Title: Lab Technician
Job Description: The laboratory technician is responsible for a variety of tasks in the laboratory to support operations. Reporting to the laboratory manager, the laboratory technician will be involved in the daily maintenance and operation of the laboratory, maintaining a clean and organized area where assigned.
Essential Duties:
- Glassware Washing.
- Maintenance of chemical waste streams and disposal procedures.
- Preparation of reagents and chemical solutions for use in the laboratory.
- Logging and management of samples.
- Document laboratory data using Good Documentation Practices.
- Other tasks as required.
- Must be motivated and able to work independently in a dynamic laboratory operation.
- Must be reliable and able to work independently.
- Must be proficient in use of MS Office Programs and have a good general understanding of IT systems.
- Previous laboratory work experience preferred but not required.
- Two years minimum educational or work experience in the Life Sciences preferred.
Skills Required:
- Must be motivated and able to work independently in a dynamic laboratory operation.
- Must be reliable and able to work independently.
- Must be proficient in use of MS Office Programs and have a good general understanding of IT systems.
- Previous laboratory work experience preferred but not required.
