Job Description: The parts counter position is responsible for taking parts requests from customers as well as the service department and must be able to quickly and accurately identify, locate, and quote the parts needed. You must be able to professionally and effectively communicate with customers, vendors, and other employees. The parts counter is a fast paced, type of job that relies heavily on a high level of computer proficiency, excellent communication skills, salesmanship and multitasking capabilities. Additionally, this position supports our bus sales team through the preparation of sales documentation, record keeping, and filing and supports our dealership by maintaining an excellent level of customer service.

Essential Functions

  • Assist customers/technicians in a courteous, professional manner.
  • Answer phones and emails in a timely courteous manner.
  • Utilize multiple computer applications to efficiently and accurately look up, order, and sell parts.
  • Utilize multiple forms of communication (phones, emails, text message) to stay in constant contact with customers and vendors.
  • Obtain detailed information from customer to insure accurate parts ordering and billing.
  • Maintain neat, clean, organized appearance throughout the parts department.
  • Establish, maintain, and grow parts sales through excellent customer service, diligent follow up and a constantly evolving knowledge of parts.
  • Establish, maintain, and constantly increase an excellent working knowledge of our products by completing any available training and ongoing education opportunities.
  • Report detailed information on lost sales for part manager.
  • Collaborate with sales, service, and parts to ensure cohesive operations across the operation
  • Greets visitors and guests, facilitates introductions to the correct team member to ensure a positive customer experience.
  • Reconciles statements, puts payables into accounting software as needed.
  • Makes bank deposits and mailings as needed.
  • Responsible for ordering office supplies in front office.
  • Paperwork for the title applications for bus sales.
  • Prepares, delivers and distributes all mail.
  • Various additional tasks as required by management.

Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
