Midwest Asian Health Association is Hiring a Substance/Gambling Treatment Program Manager Near Chicago, IL

The Substance Use/Gambling Program Manager will promote mental health, gambling and Substance Use awareness and enhance access to culturally competent mental health, problem gambling and substance use screenings, and assessments, treatment, and early intervention services.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Manage the Substance Use/Gambling Treatment Program

· Supervise the Addictions Counselor alongside the Mental Health Program Director

· Perform administrative tasks related to licensure, billing, and SUD/Problem Gambling program development.

· Provide outpatient tele-health and/or in-person trauma-informed individual, couples and family counseling services and care coordination.

· Clinical competencies, including motivational interviewing techniques, as aligned with training mandated by agency.

· Facilitate group therapy and/or psychoeducational groups as necessary.

· Meet with prospective sector and sub-sector community partners to enhance collaboration.

· Collaborate with Program Director and Employment Specialist to address client needs.

· Perform administrative (utilization review, administrative support) tasks as assigned.

General responsibilities

· Prepare briefs, reports, presentations, surveys, and other materials as needed

· Participate in monthly Substance/Gambling treatment team meetings and other required staff meetings

· Oversee project data collection activities, data analyses, interpretation, and evaluation.

· Develop progress reports for submission to funding agencies.

· Attend local, state, and national trainings as required by the grant.

· Supervise and mentor staffs and interns.

· Other duties as assigned.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS: Education/Experience

Master's degree in a field/discipline related to mental health such as psychology, social work, counseling, behavioral science, or marriage and family therapy.

Minimum three (3) years of clinical experience as a staff clinician in a mental health setting.

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS

· Knowledge of addictions counseling assessment (ASAM) and treatment modalities; clinical addictions counseling experience.

· Excellent interpersonal, leadership, and organizational skills; excellent written and verbal communication skills.

· Basic computer skills (Microsoft Word, Email, Excel, etc.)

· Must be eligible and able to obtain a fingerprint card and background check prior to hire

· Flexibility with work schedule; evening or weekend availability a plus

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

· License, Certification, Registration

· Clinical Addictions Counseling Certification (CADC)
