Midwest ADP is Hiring a Probation Officer Near Kansas, MO

About us

Midwest ADP is a privately owned nationally-accredited outpatient substance use treatment agency and probation agency serving courts from 6 locations in the Kansas City, Missouri area.

Probation Officers at Midwest ADP will be responsible for the overall supervision and management of a caseload as assigned. This person will report directly to the Probation Officer Supervisor and possess a minimum of a bachelor’s degree in criminal justice or a closely related field. Duties of this position include managing a caseload of assigned probationers, attending court dockets and completing required paperwork and outreach activities.

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES 

  • Attend assigned court dockets and hearings on a weekly basis. 
  • Conduct orientation meetings, assign officer, schedule programs, review conditions of probation with clients. 
  • Maintain regular contact with caseload by phone or in person. Supervise all required activities and behavioral expectations of caseload as assigned by the court and probation regulations. 
  • Complete all required paperwork and reports per case, including submitting case closing reports to the courts upon completion of probation. 
  • Maintain regular contact with referral sources, including attending outside agency meetings as necessary. 
  • Schedule and maintain regular report day for offenders to provide information necessary for status reports and provide consultation to caseload as needed. 
  • Attend all probation revocation hearings and testify as necessary. 
  • Prepare and maintain accurate case files with concise and complete notes and reports. 
  • Implement plans of supervision with offenders who have behavioral and adjustment problems. The plans should be specific, goal oriented and time limited so as to ensure corrective change patterns. Sending offenders for random urinalysis and breathalyzers is also expected, if applicable with conditions of probation.
  • Refer offenders for necessary ancillary services when needed. 
  • Maintain familiarity with every court and procedures practiced for particular dockets.
