POSITION SUMMARY:

The Shipping & Receiving Team Leader will be responsible for planning, setting goals and developing strategies to meet the goals. The Shipping & Receiving Team Leader will be responsible for and ensure proper safety and efficient production. The Shipping & Receiving Team Leader must comply with federal and state safety regulations and company policies.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

• Oversees the set up and safe operation of department. Delegate authority and responsibility while maintaining control.
• Organizes department for meeting production schedules and quality goals. Coordinate the efforts of individuals and the department.
• Is knowledgeable in the technical aspects of department and processes.
• Completes all pertinent paperwork.
• Teaches, trains, coaches and assists team members in processes and procedures.
• Promotes quality, good housekeeping and ensure a safe work environment.
• Possesses problem solving skills and be able to generate unique alternative solutions.
• Is knowledgeable of the organization’s structure, policy culture, resources and information sources.
• Works with Area Manager in areas of job assignments including performance issues and inventory needs.
• Contributes ideas and actions promoting environmentally sound business practices.
• Works in conjunction with the Area Manager, to ensure compliance to all quality and environmental systems.
• Maintains cooperative attitudes with employees.
• Treats all other team members with respect and dignity.
• Performs other essential functions as assigned.
