Midtown Richmond Dentistry is Hiring a Sterilization Technician Near Richmond, VA

**Job Summary:**

We are seeking a detail-oriented Sterilization Technician to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the cleanliness and sterility of medical equipment and instruments to maintain a safe environment for patients and staff. Some hygiene and dental assisting.

**Duties:**

- Clean, disinfect, and sterilize medical instruments and equipment

- Operate autoclaves, ultrasonic cleaners, and other sterilizing equipment

- Inspect instruments for cleanliness and functionality

- Maintain accurate records of sterilization processes

- Assist in inventory management of sterile supplies

- Adhere to infection control protocols and safety standards

**Qualifications:**

- Knowledge of medical terminology

- Familiarity with medical imaging processes

- Experience with Epic or similar electronic health record systems

- Ability to assist in patient assessment procedures

- Familiarity with Dentrix or other dental practice management software is a plus

- Interest or experience in pediatrics or pediatric dentistry

- Basic X-Ray knowledge is beneficial

- Background in dental assisting is advantageous

- Understanding of anatomy and infection control practices
