Midsouth, Inc. is an Underground Utility and General Contractor focused on municipal contracts and private development. We are looking for an Assistant Project Manager to join our team and help coordinate and manage projects.

The successful candidate will be responsible for completing take offs, requesting quotes and negotiating final subcontractor and vendor pricing, tracking project progress, managing resources, and ensuring deadlines are met. This position requires excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to communicate effectively with Project Managers, Owners, Engineers, Superintendents and Subcontractors. The ideal candidate will have experience in project management and a commitment to excellence.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare project take offs and quantity reviews.
• Complete material and subcontractor buyouts.
• Sunshine 811 locate entry and monthly renewals.
• Prepare subcontract and purchase orders, follow up thru execution and maintain all logs.
• Review and prepare shop drawings and maintain all submittal logs.
• Become familiar with all contract documents (contracts, specifications, permits, drawings etc.)
• Research and apply for necessary permits.
• Coordinate and schedule material deliveries.
• Assist the PM with all project start up and close out tasks.
• Assist the PM with job specific forms and documentation required for each project.
• Work with team members to resolve conflicts and issues.
• Additional responsibilities could include assisting the Estimator with bid solicitations, receiving subcontract and material quotes.

Salary is negotiable and based on experience.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $50,000.00 per year
