Qualifications

Position Summary: Midrex’s 2024 Summer Internship Program offers an immersive assignment to undergraduate students, enhancing their understanding of the business world through valuable, hands-on experience with a people centric organization. Midrex offers a 20 hour per week, paid internship that begins with an orientation in June and concludes in early August.

Duties/Responsibilities:

The internship will consist of a project-based assignment to broaden learning, experience, organizational knowledge, and business acumen. Potential Areas of Learning:

• Project Management Assist with leading multi-disciplined project team through the various project life cycles including basic engineering, detailed engineering, procurement & logistics, and possibly some assistance with construction oversight.
• Cost Management Understanding project cost estimating, cost management and risk management.
• Scheduling Understanding the project lifecycle and daily demands involving multiple disciplines to ensure timely completion of deliverables.

Skills/Abilities:

Required:

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Programs (specifically Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
• Ability to learn modern technology, software, and tools.
• Strong interpersonal skills and written/oral communication skills.

Education and Experience:

• Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in project management, Engineering, Business Management, or related field.
• Minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA.

Physical Requirements:

• Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
