JOB SUMMARY

The Project Manager will identify project goals, objectives, and scope to create a project plan that outlines required tasks, timelines, and resources to meet company and customer expectations. The role is responsible for coordinating with the Division Manager for project assignments, bidding new projects, and coordinating manpower and materials to maintain day-to-day project execution.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES, FUNCTIONS, AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Responsible for bidding on new project opportunities.
  • Collaborate with the Division Manager to recruit new employees, measure employee performance, proactively identify coaching and training opportunities, recommend high-performing employees for promotions, administer disciplinary action to consistently low-performing employees, and terminate employment.
  • Manage work schedules, project progress, and resource allocation for a team of workers.
  • Coordinate with Division Manager and Assistant Division Manager to determine project assignments and discuss project progress.
  • Allocate manpower and materials to successfully execute daily project goals.
  • Maintain regular contact with the finance division to ensure financial health of projects.
  • Communicate with customers to continually ensure expectations are met.
  • Modify operational strategies to best meet construction deadlines.
  • Develop and adhere to the budget, timeline, and quality control plan.
  • Ensure compliance with all local, state, and national regulations, building codes, and safety precautions.
  • Utilize scheduling software to update schedules, track progress, and document project progression.
  • Exhibit exemplary attendance and punctuality.
  • Comply with company policies and procedures.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Based on the essential duties listed above, this position is considered safety-sensitive and therefore all work must be performed following quality standards and established safety procedures.

EDUCATION & RELATED EXPERIENCE

  • A high school diploma or GED equivalent is required.
  • A current electrical journeyman licensure is required.
  • A minimum of two years of Project Management experience in industrial electrical services is required.
  • A valid driver's license and the ability to be covered under the company's automobile insurance are required.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

  • Extensive knowledge of engineered drawings, bid specifications, construction take-offs, project scheduling, bids, change orders, and contracts.
  • Knowledge of safety procedures and industry regulations and guidelines.
  • Knowledge of project management techniques and tools.
  • Strong industrial and commercial electrical skills.
  • Proven supervisory and leadership skills.
  • Interpersonal communication skills with the ability to establish effective professional relationships with employees, customers, and vendors.
  • Proficiency in utilizing Microsoft Office, Procore, and project scheduling software.
  • The ability to maintain great attention to detail, accuracy, and organization while maintaining quality standards and managing tasks of competing priorities.
  • The ability to work effectively and efficiently under pressure, adjust to changing situations, and meet deadlines.
  • The ability to operate company vehicles and trailers safely and efficiently.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES AND INTERACTIONS WITH OTHERS

The Project Manager will be responsible for managing and supervising employees within the electrical division. Additionally, the position will interact daily with coworkers, management, third-party vendors, and customers.
