Position Function/Purpose

Supervise daily operations of the Transportation Department

Major Responsibilities and Duties

1. Assists Director for drivers and monitors that are assigned to buses 61-220.
2. Assists the Director in the record keeping and training for bus drivers and monitors.
3. Conducts periodic inspections for buses 61-220.
4. Assist drivers and monitors with schedule deviations
5. Computes and bills transportation trip charge backs for co=curricular and tutorial.
6. Assists the Director of Transportation in maintaining the end of year reports on buses 61-220.
7. Assist Director with route evaluations.
8. Assist the Director of Transportation in computerizing driver and monitor data for buses 61-220.
9. Keeps the Director fully informed of all developments which affect the department operation drivers and monitor personnel issues.
10. Conducts periodic surveillance and evaluations of drivers to ensure safety.
11. Assist drivers with bus routes and handles daily route concerns.
12. Pulls maps and routes for substitute buses to the respective schools.
13. Reports any late or substitute buses to the respective schools.
14. Work with the Assistant with employee’s drug and alcohol testing program.
15. Perform all other duties as assigned by the Director of Transportation.

Qualification Requirements

Minimum Certification / Education:

1. Associates Degree, Bachelors Degree Preferred

Special Knowledge Skills:

1. Computer literate
2. Certified Bus Driver Certification

Minimum Experience:

1. Three years supervisory experience
