Job Summary
This Product Manager role is centered around strategizing and developing the US water hearter product line, considering the competitive landscape, industry trends, and user needs. The individual will be responsible for extensive market research, gathering industry data, and understanding user feedback to ensure products are tailored to the market's demands. Collaboration with the R&D team is crucial to translate research into actionable product strategies and ensure successful project delivery. The ideal candidate will possess deep industry insights, a knack for strategic planning, and strong interpersonal skills to liaise effectively with technical teams.
Essential Job Responsibilities
1. Based on the competitive landscape, industry trends, and user demands in the American market, plan the product line and key selling points for thermal energy storage systems (including electrical and combustion-based) in the United States.
2. Collect industry information, including product performance, pricing, unique selling points, and sales channels of competing brands.
3. Stay informed about industry policies (energy policies, federal and state government subsidies, etc.) and develop product strategies accordingly, including the development of region-specific products.
4. Conduct market research and gather insights into user needs by conducting in-home surveys, trials, and installations to identify pain points in the current product usage, which can serve as input for iterative improvements.
5. Coordinate communication between the domestic R&D team and the subsidiary to ensure the smooth completion and delivery of thermal energy storage projects in North America.
Qualifications
1. A minimum of 5 years relevant experience with unique insights and analysis of the thermal energy storage industry (including resource allocation and layout), possess successful practical experience and demonstrate industry insight capabilities. Experience working with major thermal energy storage product brands such as AO SMITH, RHEEM, Bradford White is preferred.
2. Proficient in the ability to translate research and development strategies, integrate internal and external environmental factors, and drive the development of operational strategies to implement strategic plans.
3. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate with technical teams
4. Strong problem-solving skills and ability to organize/execute a strategy
5. Goal-oriented; self-motivated
6. Ability to thrive in a collaborative team environment
