Summary:

Applies the nursing process with patients and families, integrating principles that reflect sensitivity to their age-specific/developmental needs, gender, culture, religion, psychosocial and socioeconomic backgrounds in order to provide evidence-based, holistic care in a manner that respects the worth and dignity of each individual. Practices professional nursing as a licensed practical nurse within the legal and ethical framework established by the Connecticut Nurse Practice Act and the American Nurses Association Scope and Standards for Nursing Practice and Code for Nurses, American Nurses Association Home Health Nursing, National Hospice Association and applicable regulatory agencies.

Minimum Qualifications:

Graduate of accredited school of practical nursing; Current Connecticut license; Minimum one year hospital experience or one year office experience; Current CPR/AED certification required.
