Chesapeake Bay Governor's School (CBGS) is a 10^th-12^th grade school for high-ability students in the Middle Peninsula and Northern Neck region of Virginia. CBGS serves approximately 240 students from 14 counties through a shared day program with the students’ home school district high schools.
 
Hours: 7:30am-12:30pm, Monday-Friday
 
Qualifications:

• High School Diploma
• An Associate’s Degree (preferred)
• 2-3 years of related administrative support experience (school experience preferred)
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Experience with handling confidential matters

 
Performance Expectations:

• Communicates effectively with faculty, director, students, parents, and home school divisions regarding school-related events, announcements, and pertinent information
• Serves as CBGS liaison for home school divisions and coordinates logistical information across divisions (transportation, scheduling, field trips, etc.)
• Collects and records daily attendance
• Responds to telephone inquiries and greets visitors
• Prepares forms and documents related to CBGS related activities
• Collects and receipts student money
• Collects student information (i.e. permission forms, student forms, etc.) and maintains accurate record keeping of information
• Attends and supports efforts related to the annual science symposium
• Supports the director and site lead in school related projects and initiatives
• All other duties (as assigned)
