GENERAL STATEMENT OF JOB
Provides managerial direction within Admissions and Recruitment, and works closely with the Director and others in leadership in Student and Enrollment Services.
SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Essential Functions:
- Coordinates and implements department initiatives to meet broader admissions and enrollment goals.
- Assists with the day-to-day operations of the Customer Relations Management (CRM) software, including data management, communication strategies, system enhancements, and duplicate management.
- Manages the coordination and active participation in off- and on-campus admissions and recruitment events for high schools, businesses, community organizations, and other relevant stakeholders, including planning, registration, and payment processing.
- Assists in the development and implementation of all on- and off-campus recruitment events (i.e., Open House, Information sessions, College fairs).
- Maintains the recruitment calendar and prepares and delivers recruitment reports, analyzing data and trends to inform strategic decision-making and optimize recruitment efforts.
- Processes admissions decision letters for open admissions and selective programs.
- Supervises full-time and part-time administrative and support positions within the department, providing guidance, managing performance, and planning for professional development.
- Assists with implementing and coordinating daily enrollment funnel communication and outreach with student prospects and applicants to meet enrollment goals.
- Reviews applicant files for admissions.
- Provides prospective students with general program information, admissions, and enrollment instructions.
- Serves as a liaison to academic departments as determined by the Director to work closely with College personnel to communicate institutional programs, admissions requirements, and other essential information internal and external stakeholders
- Collaborates with staff to create and maintain department manuals, ensuring consistency and efficiency in operational procedures.
- Maintains inventory and purchases recruitment materials.
- Collaborates with the Director to hire and train staff in the Office of Admissions and Recruitment, fostering a team-oriented and student-focused work environment.
- Assists with budget management, including monitoring expenditures, forecasting needs, and allocating resources effectively.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s Degree;
- Five (5) years’ experience working in an Admissions and Recruitment Office/Enrollment Management;
- Supervisory experience;
- Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills; and
- Flexibility to work evenings and weekends as needed for recruitment events.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Master’s degree;
- Two (2) years’ supervisory experience; and
- Strong computer skills with knowledge of Microsoft Office, enterprise resource planning tools; experience with Colleague or Banner, Proficiency in Customer Relations Management (CRM) system such as Ellucian Recruit.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
The work is sedentary work which requires exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body. Additionally, the following physical abilities are required:
- Hearing: Perceiving the nature of sounds at normal speaking levels with or without correction. Ability to receive detailed information through oral communication, and to make the discrimination in sound.
- Mental Acuity: Ability to make rational decisions through sound logic and deductive processes.
- Speaking: Expressing or exchanging ideas by means of the spoken word including the ability to convey detailed or important spoken instructions to other workers accurately and concisely.
- Talking: Expressing or exchanging ideas by means of the spoken word including those activities in which they must convey detailed or important spoken instructions to other workers accurately, loudly, or quickly.
- Visual Acuity: Have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as: preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; and/or extensive reading.
