ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS include the following. Other duties may be assigned:

1. Provide grounds care, such as mowing and weeding.
2. Assist in the performance of maintenance tasks related to the operation of the corporation buildings as needed and assigned.
3. Work cooperatively with the custodial staff as well as the educational staff.
4. Assist in snow removal as assigned.
5. Assist in maintenance of outside facilities and equipment as needed and assigned.
6. Assist in the maintenance of corporation campus landscaping and athletic fields as assigned.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); and six to twelve months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Must be able to operate lawn and other outdoor equipment.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:

Valid state driver’s license – operator permit. 

LANGUAGE SKILLS:

Ability to read, comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence, and effectively present information.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.

REASONING ABILITY:

Ability to apply common sense and understanding to carry out instructions in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to assess problems and make repairs and/or recommendations to solve the problem involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

EVALUATION:

The Director of Buildings and Grounds will do an evaluation on an annual basis.
