POSITION PURPOSE

Under the direction of the Rehab Director The Athletic Trainer/Rehab Tech will assess, plan, or implement fitness programs for individual rehab clients or groups. The Athletic Trainer perform duties within the community to provide services to area schools and community events per established schedule cooperatively determined by partnering entities and MPH supervisors. Manages and administers ImPACT concussion testing for school athletes and community members.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES:

• Responsible for providing and monitoring specific treatments as directed by qualified medical personnel.
• Provide athletic training services for school sports in the community on a schedule cooperatively determined by school administrators and MPMC supervisors.
• Assist in providing rehabilitation services to patients under the supervision of a licensed therapist.
• Maintain accurate documentation of injuries, treatments, and services rendered, and provide to medical team as requested.
• Communicate status and changes in condition (physical or mental) to staff therapist, hospital, and school personnel, and parents as appropriate.
• Creates and maintains policies and procedure guiding athletic training services.
• Clerical and facility duties as needed including but not limited to scheduling, insurance authorization, answering phones and cleaning.

Requirements:

High school diploma or equivalent required.
Graduate of an accredited athletic training education program
Current licensure by the State of Colorado to practice as an Athletic Trainer
Current BLS certification within 60 days from hire
BS in Athletic Training, Exercise Science or Exercise Physiology preferred
Group fitness certification preferred
Ability to use computers for scheduling and patient documentation

Salary: $24.72 – $32.25 per hour DOE
Location: Granby/Kremmling

Please note that this position may require physical exertion, including lifting and assisting patients.
