Responsibilities:
- Provide direct patient care in a psychiatric setting
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by healthcare providers
- Monitor and assess patients' mental health status and response to treatment
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to develop and implement individualized care plans
- Educate patients and their families about mental health conditions, treatment options, and coping strategies
- Document patient information, including assessments, interventions, and outcomes
- Maintain a safe and therapeutic environment for patients
Requirements:
- Valid nursing license in the state of practice
- Minimum of [X] years of experience as a psychiatric nurse (experience with children is preferred)
- Knowledge of psychiatric medications, treatments, and interventions
- Strong assessment and critical thinking skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team
- Familiarity with electronic medical records systems
Skills:
- Botox administration for therapeutic purposes
- Tube feeding management
- Acute pain management techniques
- Knowledge of family planning methods and counseling
- Experience in senior care settings
- Proficiency in esthetic laser treatment procedures
- Understanding of workers compensation laws related to psychiatric care
- Familiarity with cardiac catheterization procedures
- Knowledge of sterile processing techniques
