Responsibilities:

• Assisting with the collection of needle aspiration samples
• Preparing slides by staining samples
• Using microscopes to examine cellular samples
• Evaluating samples while following laboratory protocols
• Calibrating, troubleshooting, checking, and maintaining microscopes and other laboratory equipment
• Entering diagnostic information into computer systems.
• Fine Needle Aspiration (FNA) – Processing and immediate assessment for adequacy.
• Familiar with Bethesda system for Cytology reporting.

Pay: $70.00 - $80.00 per hour

• 8 hour shift

• Cyto Tech: 3 years (Required)
• Fine Needle Aspiration: 3 years (Preferred)

License/Certification:

• ThinPrep Certification (Required)
• New York State License (Required)
• ASCP (Required)
• BLS Certification (Required)
