MIDAS / AUTO SERVICE &TIRES is a family owned and operated franchise. I am looking to hire an experienced Store Manager / Shop Manager for my shop in Ellsworth Maine. Midas is ranked number one as a locally owned national automotive repair franchise in the United States. Its a busy shop with 5 bays, modern equipment and is full service. Open Monday thru Friday and half day on Saturday with no evening or Sunday hours.
We service and repair cars and light truck systems,including brakes,diagnostics,suspension,drive train, Ac, light engine repair and tires.

The ideal candidate will have previous Shop management experience, along with sales/customer service and automotive and/or tire service experience with a desire to lead a team of your own.

Basic IT and Social Media skills, and having experience with AllData, Identifix iAtn and or RO Writer would be a plus.

This position offers a competitive base salary plus commission along with a monthly and quarterly gross profit bonus and a benefit package.

Primary Responsibilities

Ensures effective daily operation of the service center to achieve sales and profit objectives

*General oversight of the shop; ability to prioritize duties and job requirements

*Hiring, training, motivating, counseling and monitoring the performance of all staff including technicians, and other employees

*Working with technicians and other employees to insure and sustain a satisfying work environment

*Scheduling and conducting meetings with employees as needed

*Serving as a liaison between technicians and customers

*Maintaining good working relationships with suppliers, stocking inventory, materials and equipment

*Ensuring that work areas and customer waiting area are kept clean

Requirements:
*Ability to clearly explain all repair and service work to the customer and answer any customer inquiries
*Strong communication skills to deal with customers, employees and vendors

*Organized and friendly personality

• 5 yrs Sales/Service Management Experience in Auto Service Field
• Minimum of 2 years of experience with Vehicle Repairs
• Able to explain and sell Auto Services, Products and Needed Repairs to customers in a friendly, understandable manner
• **Strong Customer Service skills and a High Level of Professional Integrity
• Professional appearance and strong work ethic
• Flexible schedule to cover store hours, including Saturdays
• Must have a valid driver’s license
• Lifting ability up to 50 pounds
