Description: Mechanical Design EngineerCandidate will be supporting mechanical engineering to sustain current product lines of hydraulic lift equipmentWill be performing mechanical design on heavy equipment that services the construction, warehouse, and utilities industriesWill be primarily working within CREO for all design workPartnering with cross functional engineering and technician employees to troubleshoot issues that may arise through the design and prototyping phaseManaging key design projects from concept to completionWill be focused on the design of hydraulic lift equipment including telehandlers, scissor lifts, bucket lifts, and other similar equipmentWill be managing and splitting focus between 5-10 design projects at once, based on urgency and customer needsWill be supporting sustaining engineering, no focus on new product developmentThis is a hands on design role, will be involved in prototyping and testing designs for current product linesWill drive over to the testing facility (local) for testing and prototyping functions that cannot be done in the office buildingCandidate may monitor the operation of a current piece of equipment to try to re-create fail scenarios to make product improvementsSkills:Mechanical Design, CREO, Prototyping, GD&T, Mechanical Engineering, Project Management, SolidWorks, Troubleshooting, Autodesk InventorAdditional Skills & Qualifications:Must Haves:BSME, BSMET or related engineering degreeExperienced within 3d modeling for mechanical design (SolidWorks, inventor, AutoCAD, CREO is PREFERRED)Basic project management experience including effective communication to cross functional engineering disciplines2 years of mechanical engineering experience AFTER DEGREE (co-ops/internships do not countProven hands on mechanical aptitudeNice to Haves:Experience designing with CREOExperience designing heavy equipment or machineryExperience with GD&TAbout ActalentActalent is a global leader in engineering and sciences services and talent solutions.
