Mid Oregon Personnel is Hiring an Irrigation Technician Near Bend, OR

Are you passionate about ensuring lush, healthy landscapes? We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Irrigation Technician to join our team. As an Irrigation Technician, you will play a crucial role in maintaining and repairing irrigation systems to ensure optimal water distribution to landscapes, gardens, and green spaces.

Responsibilities

  • Perform routine inspections and maintenance of irrigation systems
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose issues with irrigation systems
  • Repair or replace damaged components, such as sprinkler heads, valves, and pipes
  • Calibrate irrigation controllers to ensure accurate water distribution
  • Install new irrigation systems based on design specifications
  • Assess soil and plant moisture levels to determine appropriate watering schedules
  • Collaborate with landscape designers to ensure irrigation system aligns with overall landscape design
  • Keep detailed records of maintenance activities and repairs
  • Monitor and evaluate system performance and make adjustments as needed
  • Educate clients on efficient water management practices and provide recommendations for system improvements

Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years experience as an Irrigation Technician or similar role
  • Knowledge of various types of irrigation systems, including drip, spray, and rotor systems
  • Familiarity with irrigation system components and tools, such as valves, pipes, and controllers
  • Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot issues with irrigation systems
  • Strong understanding of water management and conservation practices
  • Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills
  • Physical stamina to work outdoors in various weather conditions
  • Strong communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to work independently and efficiently
  • High school diploma or equivalent is required. Certification in irrigation system maintenance and repair is preferred.

Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
