Responsibilities:
- Schedule patient appointments and manage the appointment calendar. Have tto be experienced in precertification of procedures.
- Coordinate with medical staff to ensure efficient scheduling and utilization of resources
- Communicate with patients to confirm appointments and provide necessary instructions
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records in the scheduling system
- Collaborate with other departments to coordinate patient care and ensure smooth workflow
- Handle incoming calls and inquiries related to scheduling and appointments
- Assist in resolving any scheduling conflicts or issues that may arise
Skills:
- Experience in medical scheduling or patient service is preferred
- Knowledge of medical office procedures and terminology
- Proficiency in using scheduling software, such as Epic or eClinicalWorks
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- Excellent organizational and time management abilities
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively
- Attention to detail and accuracy in maintaining records and schedules
- Familiarity with dental office or emergency room scheduling systems is a plus
