If you are recommended for the position and are not currently a GBCS employee, your employer will be Century Temporary Services.
Willingness and capacity to coach MS athletes consistently M-F from 3-5 pm for practices and for games that often go until past 7 pm.
Assure athlete safety and well-being during transport to and from them. Follow established guidelines in the event of an athlete’s injury.
Communicate with families effectively, keeping them aware of schedule updates, athlete development, and of other things that impact the family involvement with the softball program.
Assist with managing equipment, keep the AD aware of specific needs, develop the skills of softball athlete. Prior participation or coaching of the sport or an alternative to this is required.
Be knowledgeable about the league and MHSAA rules, regulations, and policies that affect MS softball athletes.
Collaborate with other middle school and high school coaches on program development and design.
Assist with up-to-date rosters, eligibility, and emergency information and other data related to the program.
Organize and participate in and end of season banquet for the team.
Model Sportsmanship and maintain appropriate behavior toward athletes, officials, colleagues, parents, and spectators.
Non-GBCS employee applicants will have to be drug and background screened through Century Temporary Services.
