Mid Florida Eye is searching for an energetic, patient focused, team oriented Ophthalmic Assistant for our multi-specialty ophthalmology practice in Mount Dora, Florida. An Ophthalmic Assistant is responsible for assisting the Ophthalmologist and/or Optometrist by documenting information as dictated by the physician.
Responsibilities:
  • Monitors patient flow
  • Document findings during exam
  • Pre and post op care
  • Ensures that exam rooms are tidied between patients, including cleaning sinks and sanitizing equipment
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
  • Positive team member
  • Strong organization with attention to detail
  • Reliable transportation
  • Flexibility traveling to multiple locations.
  • LPN, LVN, CNS’s preferred, but will train
