Job Description: A glass glazing apprentice is an entry-level position in the field of glazing, which involves the installation and maintenance of glass windows, doors, and other glass structures. Job Summary: As a glass glazing apprentice, you will work closely with experienced glaziers to gain practical experience and knowledge in the installation, repair, and maintenance of glass products. You will be responsible for assisting in various tasks related to glazing projects, ensuring safety, quality, and efficiency throughout the process.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in Glass Installation: Work alongside experienced glaziers to help install and replace glass windows, doors, and other glass structures in residential, commercial, or industrial settings.
• Glass Cutting and Preparation: Assist in cutting, shaping, and preparing glass materials as per project requirements. Learn to measure and cut glass accurately.
• Frame and Sash Assembly: Assist in the assembly of frames, sashes, and other components necessary for glass installation.
• Sealing and Weatherproofing: Learn to apply seals and weatherproofing materials to ensure the glass is airtight and watertight.
• Safety Compliance: Follow all safety procedures and guidelines to minimize the risk of accidents or injuries. Learn to use safety equipment and tools.
• Tools and Equipment: Gain familiarity with the various tools and equipment used in glazing, including glass cutters, drills, sealants, and lifting devices.
• Material Handling: Assist in the handling and transportation of glass materials to and from job sites.
• Quality Control: Work under the guidance of experienced glaziers to ensure that all glass installations meet industry standards and customer expectations.
• Customer Interaction: Communicate professionally with clients and other team members, offering assistance and support as needed.
• Learn Regulations: Familiarize yourself with local building codes and regulations related to glazing work.
• Training and Education: Attend educational and training sessions as required to gain relevant knowledge and skills in the glazing field.
