Position Overview: We seek a highly motivated and experienced Foundry Department Supervisor to join our team. The ideal candidate will supervise and coordinate the Molding department's activities in our iron foundry. We want to hear from you if you are passionate about driving productivity, ensuring quality, and fostering a safe working environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage equipment and hourly personnel in the Molding department to meet or exceed productivity, cost, and scrap goals while maintaining a safe environment.
• Assign tasks and instruct the workforce to maintain high-quality production following process procedures.
• Oversee all molding and pattern storage aspects to meet or exceed productivity, cost, and scrap goals.
• Collaborates with the melt department supervisor with daily production schedules, promoting efficiency and productivity.
• Document all poured molds, track inventory, and report production issues to the Production Resource Manager.
• Supervise, train, and review the performance of employees, ensuring adherence to company policies and procedures.
• Monitor operations to ensure equipment is in proper working condition, employees follow procedures, and work areas are clean and safe.
• Ensure compliance with company safety regulations and policies, promptly investigate accidents and take action to eliminate potential hazards.
• Participate in production scheduling, scrap reduction efforts, and cost-saving initiatives.
• Identify areas for improvement and recommend necessary changes.

Qualifications:

• Some college preferred; 5 years of manufacturing experience required; supervisory experience preferred.
• Superior interpersonal and communication skills.
• Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks.
• Effective coaching, monitoring, and disciplinary skills.
• Proficiency in basic mathematics and computer skills.
• Bilingual in Spanish is a plus.
