Career Opportunity: Shipping and Receiving ClerkWe seek a meticulous and dependable Shipping and Receiving Clerk for our manufacturing facility. This role involves managing the accurate handling, storage, and dispatch of goods within the facility.
Key Responsibilities:
- Verify and process incoming shipments against packing slips and purchase orders.
- Inspect deliveries for damages or discrepancies.
- Organize and store items efficiently within our facility.
- Keep precise inventory records and conduct regular stock assessments.
- Manage preparations for outgoing shipments and coordinate transport arrangements.
- Ensure all shipping and receiving activities comply with regulatory standards, including handling of hazardous materials.
- Maintain shipping and receiving documentation such as bills of lading and customs forms.
- Provide support for various warehouse tasks as necessary.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- At least 2 years of experience in shipping and receiving.
- Proficiency with inventory management systems.
- Understanding of relevant regulations and procedures.
- Skilled in using material handling equipment like forklifts and pallet jacks.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently.
- Capable of handling a fast-paced work environment.
- Must lift up to 50 pounds and stand for prolonged periods.
