Microsoft has the following open job opportunity:

Responsible for developing or testing computer software applications, systems, or services. Evaluate requirements, estimate development costs, design, and implement the software, review the design and implementation, improve the development process, perform unit testing, communicate status, analyze risks and compromises, integrate software into a larger system, or diagnose and resolve issues. Responsible for managing the work commitments and deliverables of other engineering professionals, including Lead Software Engineers. Also responsible for selecting and developing management talent. May be assigned to various projects that utilize the required technical skills to deploy successful product releases, from early product definition and scoping to detailed specification, implementation, and roll-out phases. Telecommuting permitted 50% or more per week within same geographic location as assigned Microsoft office location.

Minimum Requirements

EDUCATION REQUIREMENT: Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field.

EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENT: Ten (10) years of progressive, post baccalaureate software development management experience providing technical leadership and project management.

SPECIFIC SKILLS REQUIREMENTS: This position requires at least 60 months of experience in: People Management- mentoring, hiring/ firing, strategic planning; Managing software or business processes for operations, systems, projects, tools, or policies; Coordinating program development of computer software applications/ systems/ services from design through product release; at least 48 months of experience in: Cloud Development; Customer Communication; and at least 36 months of experience in Product Management Basics; and Knowledge of Telemetry Systems.

Pay Range and Benefits Information

Pay Range and Benefits Information: The offered base pay range for this specific position (job code: TSSK17670), in Redmond, WA, is $290,000 to $320,000.

Microsoft has different base pay ranges for different work locations within the United States, which allows us to pay employees competitively and consistently in different geographic markets. Individual base pay depends on various factors, in addition to primary work location, such as complexity and responsibility of role, job duties/requirements, and relevant experience and skills. Base pay ranges are reviewed and typically updated each year. Offers are made within the base pay range applicable at the time.

At Microsoft certain roles are eligible for additional rewards, including merit increases, annual bonus, and stock. These awards are allocated based on individual performance. In addition, certain roles also have the opportunity to earn sales incentives based on revenue or utilization, depending on the terms of the plan and the employee’s role.
