As a Global Facilities Technology I & C Lead at Micron Technology, Inc., you will serve as a discipline-specific technical expert and conduit of information for Facilities Site representatives. You will be responsible for providing technical information through Process of Records (PORs), Facilities Specifications and Standards, benchmark research and communication, team networks, meetings, and websites. In this role, you will drive efficiencies for the Facilities team through capacity modeling, technical reviews, cost improvement analysis, and the promotion of standard compliance. Additional responsibilities include, supporting business partners through quality, cost-saving, and environmental and safety related initiatives, as well as running and maintaining business processes by establishing metrics and capability reporting to identify improvement opportunities and crafting process documentation.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Communicate benchmark results
  • Facilitate regular meetings
  • Maintain web-based information sites
  • Identify and share technical advancements
  • Represent the company externally and serve as the technical authority according to Facilities subject area (Mechanical, Chemical, Gas, Electrical, etc.)
  • Facilitate Facilities technology transfer from site to site according to Model of Record (MOR)
  • Share business initiative progress through the Facilities network
  • Coordinate the development of Facilities specifications & standards
  • Provide site-specific technical discipline support and stay ahead of the latest facilities technology industry trends and code requirements
  • Identify training needs and provide training support and drive efficiencies and Best Known Methods (BKMs)
  • Build, implement, and maintain specification compliance (Construction, Design, Operations, and Maintenance)
  • Identify, investigate, and document root cause, lessons learned, and recommendations from Facilities events affecting manufacturing
  • Develop and maintain Facilities capacity modeling and reporting capability
  • Benchmark internal and external processes and technologies
  • Find opportunities to re-purpose Facilities capital assets
  • Perform technical reviews of site capital projects
  • Identify cost efficient design improvements
  • Support Internal and External Business Partner Initiatives
  • Review, coordinate, and communicate Global Facilities cost reduction initiatives
  • Facilitate, coordinate, and detail the deployment of quality systems (TPM, SPC, etc.)
  • Assist Corporate EHSS as a subject matter expert for facilities-related environmental and safety events
  • Review and provide input for Corporate EHSS requirements
  • Manage and maintain business processes improvement projects, metrics and process documentation
  • Communicate program status to key collaborators

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience; Instrumentation & Controls Engineering or Related Field.
  • Confirmed ability to plan, drive and complete projects effectively
  • Validated skills in working effectively with team members from different subject areas
  • Demonstrated ability to continuously learn and self-improve
  • Proven track record to communicate and present technical information effectively to all audiences
  • Proven experience with instrumentation and control system designs
  • Willing to Travel 

Preferred Experience:

  • 5 or more years of proven experience in the field of Instrumentation and Control.
  • Having experience in Semiconductor Facilities will be an advantage
