Welcome! We at Micron Technology, Inc. are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Equipment Development Engineer (Dry Etch) to join our world-class engineering team in Boise, ID. A global semiconductor leader for more than 45 years, Micron is dedicated to transforming how the world uses information to enrich life for all.
In this role, you will have the unique opportunity to develop and implement sophisticated DE equipment solutions. You will collaborate with a team of highly skilled engineers to identify and successfully implement process and hardware improvements. Your contributions will directly influence the development of Micron's leading memory and storage technologies!
Responsibilities:

• Tackle challenging problems with creative engineering solutions.
• Gain fundamental understanding of DE equipment and process.
• Supporting the sustaining and sophisticated problem-solving activities of dry etch equipment, using a structured problem-solving approach, such as Model Based Problem Solving (MBPS).
• Collaborate closely with the on-shift equipment team, vendor FSE's, and operations team to coordinate sophisticated activities.
• Have a growth mindset and an ability to be proactive and reactive to improve equipment performance.
• Understand and apply SPC methodologies
• Use scripting systems (Python, JSL, etc) to automate tasks and perform data analysis.
• Lead cost of spares usage for area. Help drive projects to hit cost targets.
• Be available as-needed outside normal working hours to support time-sensitive issues.
• Some limited amount of travel may be required as part of this critical role.

Requirements:

• B.S. Degree with 2-3 years' related industry experience or an M.S. Degree with 1-2 years of related experience. An ideal degree should be in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Physics, or related technical field
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
