Job Description: Principal Application Engineer for rapidly growing Power Line Communication (PLC), Metering System On Chip (SOC) and Analog Front End (AFE) product lines based in Zaragoza, Spain. Team member will develop firmware and hardware solutions for the product line, assist customers and field support engineers to resolve software and hardware issues, develop applications and documentation and will be also involved in trainings to customers and distributors. This position will require some international travelling (20% max) Requirements/Qualifications: Mandatory Skills Bachelor’s degree in Electronics or Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or Electrical & Computer Engineering 10 years experience in electronic product development or support Solid experience in firmware development for embedded systems Systems engineering background involving hardware and firmware design from concept to product qualification Experience in designing and reviewing hardware schematics and PCB layouts Experience in customer facing support and technical communication Strong problem solving, analytical and debugging skills Must be organized, self-motivated and passionate Excellent written, communication and interpersonal skills Professional working proficiency in English is mandatory Preferred Skills ARM Cortex-M based MCU products design and/or support experience Familiarity with metering specific standards (ANSI C12.20 and IEC 62053-22) and applications (electricity metering, sub-metering).
