Job Description: MCHP Yield Enhancement Team is looking for an intern to support our Chandler, AZ team! The main yield engineering responsibilities interns will gain working experience and knowledge from will include, but are not limited to: Support and drive device wafer sort yield and process parametric (e-test/WAT) improvement work on Microchip internal fab products. Identify and implement root cause solutions to yield loss mechanisms through statistical data analysis and failure analysis techniques. Participate/Lead continuous improvement projects on products and processes for improved yield, cost, and quality by teaming with the product, test, design, and process engineering groups. Evaluate and monitor product test and process parametric data trends to identify issues requiring further investigation/resolution. Evaluate and disposition discrepant production material held for yield enhancement engineering review. Requirements/Qualifications: Working towards Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Semiconductor Physics, or equivalent Basic CMOS semiconductor process/device knowledge Basic understanding of statistical data analysis, SPC, and semiconductor testing methods Excellent problem solving skills Be able to work effectively alone and in team environments Excellent organizational skills and strong attention to detail Excellent written and verbal communication skills Ability and willingness to learn new skills This position is not eligible for Microchip immigration sponsorship.
