Job Description: Job Description This position will be a key contributor to the success of the Tempe Manufacturing location by supporting the windows server, VMware, network, desktop, and application environments. A successful candidate will work independently while taking direction from the Enterprise Application Factory Operations Site Manager. The candidate must have strong troubleshooting and analytical skills, be able to understand complex documentation relating to environment being supported. Essential Competencies: Manage self in the areas of planning, performing tasks, and scheduling time. Use project management processes and tools to track projects. Have strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Have strong verbal and written communication skills. Must be able to work independently and in a team. Must be able to work with both a technical and non-technical user community. Assist in administrating manufacturing applications. Provide local Infrastructure support. Perform VMware/Windows Server maintenance and support. Includes physical server configuration/installation. Setup and configure network printers. Perform wireless access point device installations and troubleshoot WIFI issues. Perform network device configuration/installation and wiring activities. Troubleshoot network related issues (Serial, TCP/IP, LAN, WAN). Maintain systems in-line with site and corporate direction and policies. Maintain accurate inventory of computing devices and software. Assist with resolving desktop software and desktop hardware problems for end-users. Assist with maintaining technical documentation of tribal and learned knowledge in an electronic format. Work closely as needed with Vendors and Employees to resolve technical issues. Use Corporate IT ticketing environment to log and monitor customer questions, issues, and problems through to resolution/completion Work independently with minimal supervision, be self-directed and self-led. Maintain IT security protocols within the computing environment. Must have the ability to study current practices, think outside the box, and foster creative analysis to complex problems. Be able to quickly adapt to priority changes. Be able to work autonomously in researching issues and come to viable and relevant solutions. Requirements/Qualifications: The candidate must have a bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent. Knowledge in desktop environment, server management, LAN/WAN concepts, Microsoft imaging and patching processes (WDS, WSUS), and IT security client solutions (such as Tanium, Ivanti Landesk, Carbon Black) preferred. Skills required: Microsoft O365 Products (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, OneDrive), Windows 10/11 OS, Windows Server 2016/2019/2022 OS. Critical Physical Requirements: Must be able to lift 30 lbs; push 60 lbs, pull approx. 60 lbs; carry 30 lbs; sit 40%; stand 20%; walk 40%; must be able to perform activities that include bending at waist, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, crawling, handling, feeling, hearing, talking, seeing. Able to reach arm’s length under floor tiles and into port holes; able to climb stairs; able to use up to 6’ ladder; able to use up to 3’ step stool. Able to work for long periods in a clean room environment wearing full bunny suit attire. Able to work in all levels and areas of the building where equipment and cabling may be present.
