Job Description: Microchip has an exciting opportunity for a dynamic and experienced Equipment Engineer. The right candidate will repair, upgrade, maintain test and semiconductor-related manufacturing equipment. This candidate will also select, order, and expedite equipment and parts that are most appropriate and cost-effective for the maintenance of production equipment. In addition, the candidate will be required to study equipment performance and reliability and help establish programs and solutions for decreasing down-time for equipment problems that affect the manufacturing process. #ZR Requirements/Qualifications: AEET, or equivalent 2-year degree Experience in manufacturing or test equipment repair Ability to read, write and communicate in English. Strong working knowledge of electronics a must as well as good mechanical aptitude. Ability to troubleshoot to the component level. Experience in the use of DC test equipment a must. Ability to interface between production and other engineering personnel to solve issues related to manufacturing equipment. Ability to study equipment performance and reliability and help establish programs and solutions for decreasing down-time for equipment problems that affect the manufacturing process.
