Job Description:

Microchip Technology is looking for a college student on summer break to work as an Intern to provide general technician services to support the Production Technology Group. The position is located at our Fab 2 facility in Tempe, AZ.

The candidate must be a self-motivated individual who is able to work with little supervision. This position provides support to diverse work groups and requires good communication skills and be a good team player.

Requirements/Qualifications:

• Must be able to work in a cleanroom in a full cleanroom suit, gloves and face shield
• Transport workstations in and out of the cleanroom
• Safety protocols must be followed
• Remove/install old/new barcode scan guns
• Remove/install old/new racks
• Wire cable clean up control
• Assemble and install workstations and other workstation accessories
• Must be able to do repetitive work
• Good attendance is required
• Must be able to lift and push heavy objects with assistance up to 100 pounds
• This is a Safety Sensitive position
• No sponsorship available for this position Work Schedule: Monday through Friday 6:00 A.M. to 2:30 P.M
