Bio-manufacturing Operator IPrimary Job Responsibilities:
- Assist load and set up bioreactor tanks
- Assist harvest the bioreactor tanks
- Responsible to fill slurry product in trays and freezing (standard and/or cryo-freezing)
- Responsible to load frozen slurry product into the storage freezers
- Assist loading the freeze dryers
- Responsible for weighing out ingredients
- Responsible for cleaning product trays and racks
- Responsible for cleaning addition cans, refilling and set up
- Assist with receiving and loading of goods
- Prepare materials for shipping
- Gain proficiency in operating scales and tray washer
- General area cleaning
- Other duties as assigned
- Training new employees as needed on bioreactors and equipment.
- Follows SOPs (standard operating procedures) and work instructions for all tasks to ensure safe, quality products are manufactured.
- Operate process and utility equipment e.g. forklift, in a hygienic and safe manner in accordance with all processing procedures, cGMP, HAACP, FSMA and OSHA instructions and guidelines.
- Assist in maintaining all process areas within the manufacturing environment to comply with current regulatory guidelines and procedures.
- Maintain accurate written records or logs of all production processes, cleaning or maintenance completed.
- Collaboration, ability to multi-task, adaptable, listening
- Work closely with Quality Control department to assure compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
- Responsible for compliance with maintaining facility cleanliness, post maintenance cleaning, and preventive maintenance.
- Responsible for accurate documentation on all records
- Regularly required to sit or stand and move about the facility
- Exposure to shop elements such as noise, dust, fumes, heat and odors
- Ability to lift 50 or more pounds periodically
- Ability to work around chemicals including enzymes
