Position Overview:

We are seeking experienced Calibration Technicians, with a specific emphasis on Electrical/ RF Calibration. As a Calibration Technician, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the accuracy and reliability of our clients' measurement instruments. This position requires meticulous attention to detail, exceptional organizational skills, and effective communication abilities.

RF Calibration Technician:

  • Calibrate and repair a wide variety of RF/Microwaves disciplines including but not limited to Signal Generators, Spectrum Analyzers, Network Analyzers, etc., with RF capability up to 50GHz.
  • Knowledge of Temperature calibration highly recommended.
  • Ensure measurement accuracy for measurement and test equipment in the RF domain.

Electrical Calibration Technician:

  • Calibrate and repair a wide array of electronic, test, diagnostic, and general-purpose instruments Digital Multimeters, Oscilloscopes, Hipot Tester, Frequency Counters, Power Supplies, etc.
  • Perform calibration and repairs to ensure accurate functioning of electrical equipment.

Responsibilities:

  • Calibrate primary, secondary, and/or working calibration standards across various RF disciplines such as Signal Generators, Spectrum Analyzers, and Network Analyzers, ensuring accuracy up to 50GHz.
  • Aid technicians in maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing precision RF equipment, rectifying measurement errors during calibration.
  • Generate detailed calibration reports and certificates, ensuring effective communication with upper management about calibration activities, challenges, and solution.
  • Conduct routine inspections of calibration equipment to ensure functionality and quality standards, collaborating with engineering teams to develop calibration procedures for new or specialized equipment.
  • Stay informed on industry trends, technological advances, and regulatory changes in RF calibration, participating in proficiency testing and inter-lab comparisons to ensure accuracy and traceability of procedures.
  • Offer guidance to colleagues and clients on equipment operation, troubleshooting, and calibration, while maintaining accurate records in compliance with ISO/IEC 17025 standards.
  • Assist customers and provide technical expertise during visits or audits, contributing to lab process improvements through efficiency suggestions and quality assurance participation.
  • Stay aware of safety protocols and best practices, ensuring a safe working environment for oneself and others.

All calibration is to be performed in accordance with NIST traceable standards. MQC is A2LA Accredited to ISO/IEC 17025, ANSI/NCSL Z540.3-2006, and ANSI/NCSL Z540-1-1994.

Requirements and Skills:

  • 3-4 years of equivalent training is required
  • Military PMEL / TMDE / DOD training is strongly preferred
  • Experience in calibration and working with precision measurement equipment
  • Proven experience working under ISO 17025 strongly preferred
  • Local travel may be required to perform on-site calibration at the customer facility
  • Strong attention to detail with a focus on producing error-free work.
  • Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with team members and stakeholders.
  • Outstanding organizational, time management, and prioritization abilities.
  • Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills to meet deadlines effectively.
  • U.S. Citizen or U.S. Permanent Resident Status required.
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record.

Schedule: Full-time 8-hour shifts, Monday to Friday

Pay: $30- $75/hour DOE
