Micro Quality Calibration was founded in 1978 and is an A2LA ISO/IEC 17025-2017 Accredited Metrology laboratory specializing in calibration, repair, testing, First Article Inspection, and sales (162 lines) of precision measurement and test instruments (In-house, On-site, and Mobile Calibration Laboratory). What We Are Looking for in the Ideal Candidate

We are seeking an experienced Billing Clerk that will help us monitor our revenues. You will be responsible for keeping track of money owed to us by customers, preparing invoices, and updating records. As a Billing Clerk, you must be accurate and reliable in handling accounts, single client billing, and all applicable documents. Being good at math and a high degree of organizational ability are essential due to the great amount of financial information.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage account balances by searching each financial statement for any payment inconsistencies or errors
  • Collect all information needed to calculate bills receivable (order amounts, discount rates, etc.)
  • Check the data input in the system to ensure the accuracy of the final bill
  • Issue customer account statements periodically or whenever necessary
  • Answer questions on billing practices and client account processing
  • Collaborating with customer service, shipping & receiving, and accounting
  • Create invoices and/or billing statements as needed
  • Billing
  • Post accounts receivable
  • Perform client credit checks
  • Report on activities and obstacles to upper management
  • Other duties as deemed necessary

Requirements and Skills:

  • 3 years of continued and proven experience as a billing clerk or general accounting experience is strongly preferred
  • Highly proficient in MS Office (especially Excel)
  • Working knowledge of relevant software (e.g. QuickBooks)
  • Must have excellent math skills
  • Exceptional attention to detail while producing error-free work product
  • Great organizational, time management, and prioritization abilities
  • Problem-solving- and critical thinking skills to meet deadlines
  • In-depth knowledge of billing or accounts receivable practices
  • Effectively complete assignments in a timely and efficient manner
  • Ability to type 40 wpm
  • Single client billing experience is strongly preferred
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Advanced education or certification is preferred
