Overview:
Join our team at Micro Gauge as an Operations Manager, where you will play a pivotal role in to planning, coordinating, control, and direct activities involving the scheduling and release of production orders, the requisitioning of product purchased parts and the maintaining of effective inventory control records and system procedures for two facilities. This role reports directly to the General Manager of the company.
Responsibilities:
· Establish and assign production schedules that meet customer requirements.
· Monitor material inventories, track production progress, and review factors affecting schedules.
· Direct shipping plans based on daily customer communication.
· Order intercompany raw materials as needed.
· Analyze and communicate manning requirements based on production schedules.
· Manage MRP parameters to ensure accurate lead times and inventory levels.
· Generate QAD reporting for customer and departmental scorecards.
· Enforces all company policies including SAFETY.
· Confers with Human Resources on hiring and employment matters.
Qualifications:
· 5 years of experience and success in machine shop / tool & die operations or manufacturing engineering leadership .
· Bachelor s degree in operations management, business, and engineering is highly preferred.
· Demonstrated understanding of lean manufacturing principles and 6S.
· Highly proficient in business and management principles (budgeting, strategic planning, resource allocation and human resources).
· Familiarity with industry standard equipment and technical expertise.
· Knowledgeable of safety, quality, productivity, demand creation, inventory, and stewardship processes.
· Must be able to build, maintain and contribute to a team environment.
· Leads by example and demonstrates servant leadership
