We are seeking an energetic, detail oriented, team player for the LOGISTICS SPECIALIST role in our International Product & Sourcing Group (IPSG). The Logistics Specialist will be responsible for managing the purchase order process from creation to receipt along with managing customs file audits of all international import orders. Customs & freight forwarding experience preferred. Fluency in Mandarin Chinese and English required.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Order and track items purchased from vendors.
• Develop and maintain relationships with customs brokers, shippers, vendors, third party logistics providers and government agencies.
• Implement import operational procedures to ensure US Customs compliance.
• Work with manufacturers to obtain FCC certifications.
• Review and process payment requests for wire transfers and other brokerage firm invoices to ensure accuracy and proper recordkeeping.
• Review product import regulations and guidelines.
• Responsible for import compliance in the areas of record keeping, HTS classification, FCC certificates, etc.
• Audit documentation for accuracy, accounting and US customs purposes; act as a liaison to corporate Accounting Department.
• Other reporting duties using Microsoft Excel

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

• 2 years of experience as a Logistics Specialist, Import Coordinator or similar role and Bachelor's Degree preferred
• Experience in customs & freight forwarding strongly preferred
• Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office including intermediate to advanced Excel skills
• Fluency in Mandarin Chinese and English required
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong ability to balance multiple priorities
• Proven track record of meeting deadlines under limited supervision
• Self-managing and pro-active
• Extensive attention to detail
• Knowledge of inventory management, purchasing processes and general accounting practices
• Ability to work in a team environment
