Role/Position Definition: Performs diagnostic medical radiographic imaging, utilizing computed (CR) and digital (DR) radiography. Maintains all equipment and supplies related to the department.

Qualifications/Position Requirements:

Education/Experience

• Graduation from accredited program of Radiologic Technology required.
• Previous experience as a Radiologic Technologist strongly preferred.
• Prior experience with orthopaedic patients strongly preferred.

Licensure/Certification

• Current licensure as a Certified Radiologic Technologist with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists required.
• BLS certification required.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

• Proficiency with digital radiological (DR) equipment.
• Proficiency with picture archiving and communication systems (PACS) systems.
• Must possess excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Must be proficient in computer usage.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Ensures patient safety and the highest possible quality of care.
• Participates in periodic competency evaluations (mandatory in service programs) in accordance to practice and professional policy.
• Performs tasks/duties as assigned or requested.
• Record and maintain patient radiology records in accordance to facility policy and practice.
• Employs cost-efficient and cost-effective practices.
• Works in a collaborative relationship with healthcare team members and promotes interdisciplinary functions and mutual support amongst all members of the team.
• Maintains radiology equipment in efficient operating order; performs preventive maintenance on a regularly scheduled basis; contacts service for major malfunctions/problems. Cleans equipment on a regular basis.
• Performs all other duties as assigned.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00 - $24.00 per hour
