Job DescriptionDIRECT HIREHours: Monday – Friday 7am-3:30pm
Pay: $20-$23/hour
Location: Taylor, MI

Job Description: Non-automotive company that is rapidly growing seeking a Quality Inspector to join their team. The Quality Inspector position reports to the Quality Engineer. In this role, the Quality Inspector will focus on increasing our overall product quality and support the quality management system. They will mainly handle incoming inspection of materials, non-conforming material, conduct quality testing and measurement. They will also lead continuous improvement projects. They require high-attention to detail, high organizational skills, and excellent communication.
Job Duties:
  • Perform timely and diligent inspections and testing of products according to prioritized production, purchasing, and warehouse goals.
  • Handle rejection of parts when detected as non-compliant.
  • Properly and accurately mark, locate, and segregate materials according to acceptance or rejections status.
  • Proper, accurate, and timely disposition of non-conforming material from production.
  • Responsible for all quality related administrative duties.
  • Thorough and organized documentation of all quality areas including incoming inspection and non-conforming materials.
  • Creation, handling, and follow-up on all issue reports.
  • Managing of stock and locations of Golden Samples.
  • Proactive communication and consultation with all relevant quality stakeholders.
  • Participation and documentation in all quality-related meetings.
  • Proactively communicate, update, and work closely with manager.
  • Follow-up on all open actions related to quality.
  • Other duties will be assigned as needed.
Qualifications:
  • 1 year of education required.
  • 2-3 years of quality related experience.
  • Strong accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Strong organization and documentation skills
  • Ability to understand and read engineering drawings.
  • Experience with tools and instruments to inspect materials such as calipers, gauges, micrometer, etc.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
  • Proficiency in Microsoft applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Proficiency in ERP systems or similar software.
  • Experience in a (small) manufacturing environment preferred; assembly of multi-component equipment.
