TERMS :
This position is a 200 total paid days position offering full family medical, dental, and vision benefits. Dental, vision, and life insurance are paid by the district at no cost to the employee.
Personal business days sick time paid. Retirement through the Office of Retirement Services (Pension Plus or Defined Contribution).
SALARY RANGE :
This position is on the School Year Professional Scale, $51497.734- $80067.1942 per year on the BA lane. Lanes available for BA 20, MA, MA 30, and MA 60.
GENERAL JOB FUNCTION : The Career Exploration Specialist will assist in effectively managing MAISD and local district efforts in creating a career and college ready culture.
This Career Exploration Specialist works to assist CCR leadership to implement best practices in schools to create greater postsecondary access for all.
The Career Exploration Specialist will be responsible for grade level specific support and guidance in the implementation of the Michigan Career Development Model, the MAISD Career Development for K-12 Menu and other adopted career development opportunities supported by the MAISD.

Employees in this classification are evaluated according to current Board policy.
TRAVEL EXPECTATIONS :
Travel both within the county and throughout the state is required. Mileage will be paid based on the current State rate.

This position is on the School Year Professional Scale of the MAISD salary scales.
