Michigan Retina Center is Hiring a Medical Front Desk Receptionist Near Ypsilanti, MI

Michigan Retina Center is a growing ophthalmic practice, specializing in retinal disease. We are looking for a part time or full time Front Desk Specialist to help maintain the high quality of care we offer to our patients. The ideal candidate is well-versed in medical insurance, phone systems and able to multitask.

Various job responsibilities include but not limited to:

  • Verify insurance
  • Follow all regulations and guidelines set by Medicare, state programs, and HMO/PPO
  • Answer a multi-line phone system
  • Check paperwork, and ensure patient information is accurate and complete
  • Schedule future appointments for patients
  • Perform other administrative duties and assist in clinic flow as needed

Work Location (may require travel): Dearborn, Ypsilanti, Novi

Preferred qualifications include:

  • 2 years of experience in a medical office
  • Interpersonal skills for communicating clearly and effectively.
  • Positive, friendly, outgoing demeanor
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment
  • Prior knowledge of or ability to quickly learn electronic health records (EHR) software.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $17.00 - $20.00 per hour
